You were not meant to carry the weight of it all. 

You don't have the power. 

And really...if you were honest...you ain't that good. You don't have that much skill. 

John Eldredge, in his book Wild at Heart, declares that we are made to depend on God; we are created for union with him and nothing quite works the right way in us if we forsake that bond between God and ourselves. 

We get out of rhythm. 

Jesus even declares  in John 15 that, "Apart from me, you can do nothing." 

Sobering. 

No better yet, freeing.

He himself is the fuel our spirits were designed to burn, or the food our spirits were designed to feed on. There is no other."
